Rankings according to the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.
Nebraska recovered from its opening-week loss at Illinois with a pair of blowout covers against lighter competition (52-7 vs. Fordham; 28-3 vs. Buffalo). The Cornhuskers have been efficient and balanced in those last two games with an average of 275 yards rushing and 300 yards passing, but the degree of difficulty gets much tougher this week against the Sooners.
Oklahoma has looked prolific offensively through two games behind Heisman Trophy contender QB
Spencer Rattler. There were some defensive holes in its Week 1 win against Tulane as it gave up 35 points and 396 yards to the Green Wave, but the Sooners blew out Western Carolina 76-0 last week in a glorified scrimmage, outgaining the Catamounts 624-178 in total yards.
